About Us

At Football 4 Change Academy (F4C), we believe that football can ignite social change and transform lives. Our academy is driven by a passion for the game, a commitment to excellence, and a vision to empower our youth - both on and off the field.

HISTORY

Founded in 2017 with just ₹10,000, crowd-funded through the support of a few well wishers - and a vision, Football 4 Change (F4C) began as a humble initiative to inspire school students through football. We started with just 8 to 10 boys, offering free coaching on a small ground within the campus of SNGC School, C.Aisan — a region known for producing football talents like Seikhohao Tuboi and Seiminlen Doungel. F4C was born out of the belief that sport, especially football, could become a powerful tool for transformation in remote and underserved communities.

In the early days, we functioned primarily as a feeder academy, helping promising players get into bigger academies, since we didn’t have the platform or access to national-level competitions. But with time, support, and sheer persistence, we grew — and today, F4C stands as an established academy competing in top youth tournaments like the AIFF Youth League, Dream Sports Championship, and others. We now regularly compete against top-tier opponents including ISL clubs, I-League academies, and other elite football institutions across India.

Despite the many challenges over the years — and with no external sponsors or financial backing — F4C has continued to sustain and grow through the collective support of well-wishers, small contributions, and resourceful management. 90% of our players join through regular admissions, while 10% are selected based on recommendation and potential. Regardless of background, every player receives the same level of care, training, and opportunity to compete in tournaments across the country.

In November 2023, our hard work and belief were recognized when F4C was officially accredited as a 3-Star Elite Academy by the AIFF, granting us direct access to national competitions and solidifying our place on India’s football map.

From a dream on a school field to a nationally recognized academy — F4C’s journey is a testament to resilience, community, and the power of football to change lives.

Lunkhogin Tuboi (Hegin) - Director of F4C

A Master’s in Philosophy and an LLB graduate from Delhi University, Hegin also holds an official AIFF Player Agent Certificate. He played a key role in shaping the early career of Seiminlen Doungel and has a sharp eye for identifying talent. With unmatched knowledge of the Indian football ecosystem, he leads the vision, scouting structure, and foundational direction of F4C. His leadership ensures that the academy stays true to its mission while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for grassroots football.

Lam Lun Mang Vaiphei (Mamang) - Chief Executive Officer, F4C

A History Honours graduate from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, and an AFC C-License coach. Mamang oversees all commercial, legal, and administrative affairs of the academy, including coordination with the AIFF and other football bodies. His deep football understanding combined with his management skills makes him a driving force behind F4C’s operations. From strategy to branding, planning tournaments to registrations — he ensures that everything runs smoothly while also bringing a professional edge to the grassroots structure.

Hangkhanlian Suantak - Head of Youth Development, F4C

A Master’s in Economics from Delhi University and an AFC B-License coach, David is the mind behind F4C’s on-field development and training curriculum. With extensive experience in grassroots and youth coaching, he designs programs that focus on technical excellence and player development. Known for his calm demeanor, discipline, and mentoring approach, David helps shape not just footballers, but responsible young men. His commitment to both football and education makes him a role model for the players he trains.
